This past week has been a huge blast from the past for me. Usually I'm in Houston, TX showing people on my youtube channel different places to party and eat. Today was a break from my routine as I decided to head out to Mt. Charleston for some fun in the snow.
So let me start by saying that this day was totally not planned and done on a whim. I actually had plans on shooting content at the penthouse I'm staying in, but when I woke up and saw the snow coming down on the mountain tops surrounding Las Vegas I had to go check it out.
It was about a 40 min drive to the Mountain area before we were cut off by park rangers because of hazardous road conditions. Apparently in order to go any further you need snow tires or chains on your wheels. That's when we decided to just park the car where we were at and shoot some content off the road.
The snow was still coming down moderately as Ashley Ca$h did an experiment to see how long it would take for her banana to freeze for a banana Sunday. Make sure you follow her on her page to see how that turned out.
After shooting a few quick clips by the roadside we stopped at an observation location to steal some pics of the mountains in the distance from a small cliff that you pass on the way to the spring mountains. The way the snow was falling in the distance just made for the perfect background for pictures.
Our ride out to the spring mountains was very comfortable. Especially since we were riding in Ashley's 2012 5 series BMW. Nothing like turning heads while you cruise even in the snow.
